Game Changers Idaho became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in August 2018, based in Boise, Idaho. Founded by Gabriel Moreno, the organization started as a Flag Football Program and has since expanded to offer multiple sporting opportunities for children of all abilities, from kindergarten through 12th grade.
We believe that each of us can do a little more to make the world a better place. In a time when we often hear more bad than good, we aim to be an organization that changes that narrative, even just a bit. Our approach is to create opportunities for children with and without disabilities to play sports together in our community. By doing so, we bring together kids from diverse backgrounds and show the community what children with disabilities are truly capable of. When given the chance, they can play sports to their fullest potential. If they are willing to give their best effort, they deserve the opportunity to participate.
There is always more we can do to help others, and this is our way of making a difference. Our mission is to find passionate individuals who seek to spread goodness by offering various opportunities for youth with and without disabilities. By bringing together young people of all abilities, we demonstrate that while we may be different, we are also the same. We often use sports as a vehicle to build relationships and emphasize the abilities of children, rather than focusing on their disabilities.
