The Basque Museum & Cultural Center was opened in 1985 with the intention of preserving some of the unique Basque culture that was such a large part of the story of the West. It has quickly grown to include a full staff to help preserve, promote and perpetuate Basque history and culture throughout the world. The Basque Museum also opened a Basque language immersion preschool in 1998, Boiseko Ikastola to continue the unique language for future generations. The Basque Museum is open Tuesday through Saturday, year-round where you can learn about many aspects of the Basques both historically and current-day. Available for group tours of any size, the Museum is a great destination for visitors, school groups, and anyone interested in learning a little more about their own culture as well as the culture of the Basques. Visit Basquemuseum.com or call 208.343.2671 for more information.
