9TH ANNUAL IDAHO® POTATO DROP
NEW YEAR’S EVE IN DOWNTOWN BOISE, IDAHO DEC. 31, 2021
Idaho’s signature holiday event that can only be truly experienced LIVE at the Idaho State
Capitol! The Idaho® Potato Drop is a free and charitable world-class New Year’s Eve
destination that supports local arts, business and charities.
KTVB will be on hand broadcasting live across NBC stations in Cecil D. Andrus Park featuring
music, sporting events and live art performances. Starting at 6:00 PM, the Grown In Idaho®
Main Stage comes to life with EMCEE Austin Von Johnson and Yeti Abies hosting the run. of show with live music,
while athletes test their meddle at the Urban-Air 2022 Ski and Snowboard Exhibition.
This cutting-edge snow park is the first of it’s kind, utilizing tow-in winch systems and custom-built
features from Olympic Snow Park designer Ryan Neptune of Gateway Parks and
top athlete Mason Kennedy of Onslaught Crew.
McCall Winter Carnival will be dazzling crowds with world-class ice sculpting, while Wrestle
Club battles for the “Potato Belt Championship”. Sample delicious local food and beverage by local mobile food vendors
after touring the all ages beer garden and vendor camp located throughout the park.
Don’t forget to snap a picture with Spuddy Buddy and the Big Idaho® Potato Tour truck!
Join Idaho Concierge in our elegant VIP Room with craft-cocktails, Hors d’oeuvre’s and live
entertainment. VIP guests experience 360 degree views from inside our crystal clear tent,
located center stage with LED dance floor. VIP guests also receive a raffle ticket
for a chance to win big prizes like a gift basket from Yoga Tree of Boise, Tamarack
mountain pass, or a Idaho® Potato Air Fryer.
At 6:00PM, the world-famous #GlowTato will fly to its evening perch during the Idaho® Potato
Rise and as midnight approaches, Cassandra Lewis will
serenade Spec-Taters into 2022. When the countdown to the new year begins, Inland Crane will
‘Drop’ it like it’s hot to a World-Class Fireworks display by Fireworks America!
