Be Downtown Boise the First Thursday of each month to experience art, shopping, dining and entertainment in a special and unique way you’ll only find Downtown. Our local merchants plan exciting, engaging in-store events including food and beverage tastings, local art exhibits and trunk shows. Stop into your favorite establishment or check out someplace new!
Events typically run from 5:00 – 9:00pm, but each merchant creatively plans their own event so check each listing for individual hours and details.

First Annual Holiday Sip-N-Shop
Grab your friends, round up the girls or make it the perfect 'date night' in Downtown Boise. Join us for an evening downtown as we host the first annual sip-n-shop event where you can drop off the kids, enjoy some down time while sampling some local wine and beer tastings, all while you get your holiday shopping done.
Given it's the season for caring and sharing, all proceeds from this event will be donated to the Boise chapter of Women's & Children's Alliance that fosters a community where individuals thrive in a safe, healthy relationships. In return, you'll be able to sip and swirl around town, enjoy savory local specials at restaurants, hotels and shops... its all included in this program.
With the purchase of your wine tasting ticket, you'll receive a souvenir glass to commemorate this special event.

Ever want to know a little bit of Idaho Shriner history?
Well on the 1st Thursday of the month we hold guided tours of El Korah and the history related to it. From our murals to the building to the great men that help shape not only the Shrine but Idaho in general.
Tours start at 5:00 pm afterwards enjoy dinner at Brother Brown's BBQ and drinks at the Oasis.

A little history: On the evening of 5 December, Krampus Night or Krampusnacht, Krampus visits homes and businesses, or in some places parades through the streets. In contrast to Santa Claus, Krampus punishes, or even steals naughty children.

FIRST THURSDAY EVENT: Children's New Release Book Signing - - Milton & Odie and the Bigger-than-Bigmouth Bass.
On one side of a frozen lake, Odie imagines all the fish he'll catch today. On the other side of the lake, Milton is doubtful he'll catch anything at all. As each otter imagines what lurks--or doesn't lurk--under the ice, opposites attract, attitudes change, and a friendship is formed.
