Come explore our Winter Wonder Village this December, located in the Museum’s Pioneer Village complete with historic houses illuminated for the holidays! Delight in complimentary hot chocolate while you and your loved ones enjoy the lights, shop for holiday items, and create winter themed arts & crafts!

Each night will feature a few special events:
December 2nd: Free First Thursday at the Idaho State Museum. Enjoy complimentary admission, including our indoor exhibits and our outdoor Winter Wonder Village display.
December 16th: Need gifts for the family? Check out the M Store pop up shop for uniquely Idaho items! The Old Idaho Penitentiary’s Souvenir Confinement shop will have a pop up as well, allowing guests to take 101 years of Idaho and prison history home with them.
December 30th: Enjoy the last bit of the Holidays at the Museum and prepare to ring in the new year with crafts and hot chocolate.

These outdoor events will be free to the public and do not include admission to the Museum’s indoor exhibits except for First Thursday on December 2nd. Concessions including cookies and candies will be for sale at each event.

Walk-ups will be accommodated; Pre-registering before arrival is strongly encouraged.

The Idaho State Museum is following current CDC guidance related to masking and physical distancing. Face coverings are required for all public and educational programs in the classroom regardless of vaccination status.
