The Interstice Series presents a playful portfolio of digital paintings incorporating photographic collage. Disparate objects from the natural and human-made worlds are combined while varied times and spaces are overlapped to create quietly contemplative landscapes. Embracing the freedom of working with digital programs, Dixon approached each work “as a journey instead of a destination” to reveal, alter or compose differences in the space in between.
