We invite you to attend an evening of education and community with Empower Idaho and the Idaho Office of Drug Policy this April. The night will include a screening of the Netflix documentary Heroin(e), followed by a paneling Q/A session and Naloxone administration demonstration. Additionally, attendees will receive materials for proper disposal of medication, and will be connected with several community resources. We hope you will join us!
The panelists include:
• Scott Jones, Person with Lived Experience and Chapter Manager of the Phoenix Boise
• Monica Forbes, founder of PEER Wellness Center, Idaho’s first Recovery Community Center
• Dr. Reid Lofgran, Addictions Specialist, MAT Provider
• Officer Cody Evans, Boise Police Department
This event will also include an overview of Idaho's Good Samaritan Law by Pharmacist and Idaho State Representative, Dr. Sue Chew.
