Details

The goal of the Transportation Policy Conference is to educate and raise awareness of the importance and benefits of walkable and bikeable communities to policy makers and other key stakeholders in the transportation community, through new investment, design and construction. Improving our walking and biking infrastructure will make it safer for Idahoans, especially children, to get to the places they need to go such as school, local parks, the library and home. We believe that additional investments in sidewalks, crosswalks, bike lanes, melds nicely with Governor Little’s initiative to keep Idahoans in the state by making Idaho’s communities more desirable to live and raise families. In addition, the leaders in the transportation community will be invited to talk about the future design, construction, funding and technology of other modes of transportation, such as automobiles, trucks, public transit and autonomous vehicles.
