ABOUT THE HEART SPACE CENTER'S SIGNATURE EMBODIED CREATIVITY RETREAT:
Creativity comes more naturally when we feel safe & embodied.
In today's culture, we often move through life on auto drive; going through motions and schedules, but not truly and authentically experiencing the magic of life because we're so busy focusing on what's next that we miss what is here and now.
What is here and now, if we take time to pause, look inward, and truly BE in our bodies?
When we take the time to be in our bodies, process stuck energy, and be with all that is, from a seat of non-judgement, compassionate witness, we can then come to find safe and embodied space where creativity can flow and we're able to thrive.
In this one-day retreat we will slow down. Working together, we will facilitate space for connection to body, beginning to process stuck energies so we may find space within where creativity can flow more freely. A space of safe, authentic, embodiment.
You will look inward, connecting with past experiences by connecting with and processing energies in the body, exploring and awakening the chakras, connecting with community, and intentionally moving the body to help tap into the true, authentic self, allowing creativity to rise.

A light snack will be provided during our time together, and there will be a short break offered as well. You're welcome to bring your own bagged lunch and/or snack if you think you'll need more fuel throughout the retreat (there are also great grab 'n go spots downtown if you prefer to grab a snack during our short break!). As we will be processing, sharing, and moving a lot, it is important to nourish the body, so be sure to also bring plenty of water!
Although there will be opportunity throughout the retreat to create by putting pen, marker, colored pencil (etc.) to paper, whatever you create; be it poetry, artwork, or whatever else comes up, you do not need to share your work (and you're welcome to share, if you'd like).
