Details

The first book-length collaboration between author Elisabeth Sharp McKetta and artist Troy Passey, Fear of the Deep joins the atmospheric artwork of Passey with thirty poetic fragments by McKetta, resulting in a book on the theme of the ocean and how words become lifeboats. Fear of the Deep is a call to live with courage and beauty in the face of mortality, and for that reason we will donate 10% of proceeds to Suicide Prevention Action Network of Idaho.

Elisabeth Sharp McKetta teaches writing for Harvard Extension School and is author of six books, The Fairy Tales Mammals Tell (2013), The Creative Year: 52 Workshops for Writers (2014), Poetry for Strangers Vols. I and II (2015, 2017), Fear of the Deep (2016), and Energy: The Life of John J. McKetta Jr. (2017). Her work links fairy tales and autobiography, and she is at work on a new novel, She Never Told Me About the Ocean. Elisabeth grew up in Texas and currently lives with her family in Idaho.

Elizabeth will be signing books afterwards.
