Details

Schubert’s “Trout” Quintet is one of the pinnacles of chamber music, showcasing a perfection of form and instrumental writing. The spry work captures the mood of the 22-year-old composer on a summertime vacation in the countryside. One of Debussy’s final works, the Sonata for flute, viola, and harp bears a striking resemblance to his beloved orchestral works La Mer and Prélude à l'après-midi d'un faune.
