Details

Doll artist Anya Anderson has joined Art Source Gallery. Anderson’s work is part of a growing international movement in one-of-a-kind doll making. Intricate small sculptures, art dolls cannot be confused with children’s toys or commercial products—they are multimedia artworks. Anderson uses paper clay, paint, fabric, yarn, or felt, whatever material fits the needs of the doll she is making. Every doll tells a story, but at the same time her origin remains a mystery for the viewer to imagine. Meet the dolls at Art Source Gallery, 1516 W. Grove St, in Boise’s Linen District Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm, and on First Thursday from 5-9.
