A Modern Yule Walk Brings Patrons, Businesses Together for Holiday Cheer in Boise’s Linen District

Celebration highlights community, local artists, best of Boise’s food and beverage scene

Linen District, Boise - The European tradition of the paseo—an evening stroll through the neighborhood with stops along the way for drinks, food, music, and meet ups—is getting a twist this December 13th with A Modern Yule Walk. The event begins on Grove Street with pre-functions at Crazy Neighbor and Grant Home Shop at 5 p.m.
At 6 p.m. the Yule Walk will begin to move through the district accompanied by traditional holiday caroling led by Opera Idaho. Along the way, participants will find seasonal drinks and nosh at the Modern, hear a ghost story with local author Alan Heathcock, rock to Christmas tunes at Boise Rock School, enjoy specialty food and beverages around the fire at Txikiteo, listen to a contemporary Christmas reading by local actor/writer Jodeen Revere, watch live artist demonstrations at Fire Fusion Studio & Delia Dante Gallery, enjoy Idaho craft beer and wine at Hops & Bottles, and more!
Tickets are not required for the Yule Walk and you can join in anytime! Just bring the family, grab a free Christmas candle to light your way and let the holiday mood sweep you away.

SCHEDULE:
5:00-6:00 - Crazy Neighbor and Grant Home Shop - 1415 and 1420 W Grove Street
Folks are invited to pre-function and browse seasonal wares at Crazy Neighbor while enjoying a cup of wassail at this unique shop full of fashion and theatrical accessories. After you find the perfect stylish hat to wear on the Yule Walk, stroll across the street to our newest neighbors, Grant A Home Shop, at their beautifully curated holiday pop up.
6:00 - Performance by Opera Idaho Carolers inside Crazy Neighbor
6:15-7:00 - Modern Hotel and Bar - 1314 W Grove Street
Our group will be met in the courtyard with nosh and seasonal drinks available for purchase and invited to hear a ghost story as told by local author Alan Heathcock.
7:00 - Performance by Opera Idaho Carolers
7:15-7:45 - Boise Rock School - 1404 W Idaho Street
Listen to a local band rockin’ around the Christmas tree.
7:45-8:30 - Txikiteo - 175 N 14th Street
Walkers will have opportunity to purchase specialty food and beverages and enjoy them around the fires while listening to a contemporary Christmas reading by local writer and actor Jodeen Revere.
8:30 - Performance by Opera Idaho Carolers
8:45-9:20 - Fire Fusion Studio/Delia Dante Gallery - 1322 W Main Street
Our parade is invited into the newly opened studio and gallery to watch live artist demonstrations, including forging of holiday ornaments.
9:20 - Performance by Opera Idaho Carolers
9:30-10:00 - Hops & Bottles - 1420 W Grove Street
Join us for a special finale at this craft beer taphouse and bottle shop.
