Father's Day Car Show Registrants' Page

All the resources Registrants need for Show Day!

What's New in 2026:

New! Premium Parking for Show Vehicles

Want guaranteed parking right in front of the Capitol Building? Now, the 27 parking spaces on the North side of Jefferson will be sold as premium parking for $50 each on a first-come-first serve basis when registrations open on March 1. In addition to your parking space and show t-shirt, premium parking registrants will receive a professional photograph of their vehicle in front of the Capitol Building, taken by our event photographer on show day. Please allow two weeks for your photograph to be emailed to you.

Please note: vehicles may be ineligible for premium parking if they are physically too large to fit in the space.

How it Works:
Register your vehicle as normal when registrations open on March 1. Registration applications will be processed in the order they are submitted. If your vehicle is approved, you will be sent an email with a link to pay for your registration. If you'd like priority parking, select the Priority Parking Registration option ($50 each) rather than the General Registration option ($25 each). If you don't see a Priority Parking option, it means the spots are already sold out. Be sure to register early and keep an eye on your email inbox!

After you pay, a confirmation email will be sent to you showing that you have purchased the Premium Parking option. A staff member will reach out to you around 2 weeks before show day to let you know your space number and arrival time.

New! Wave Assignment

This year, rather than being randomly assigned, vehicle load-in waves will be assigned on a first-come-first-served basis starting with Wave 1. On show day, we do our absolute best to load in the most high-demand spots first, so be sure to register early to lock in a great spot! When your vehicle is accepted into the show, you will receive a confirmation email listing your load-in wave. If you'd like to park nearby another vehicle, do your best to register at the same time so that you are assigned the same load-in wave.

Changes to voting!

This year, each vehicle can only receive one vote per vehicle, per person, per category! Additionally, each vehicle will only be rewarded in their highest voted category and vehicles will not be eligible to win in more than one category.

New Payment Platform!

This year, we are using a new payment platform for show participants to pay their registration fees. You will still receive a link via email to pay online when your vehicle is accepted into the show, but the interface of the payment site will look a little different this year. Payment via mailed checks will still be accepted.

Father's Day Car Show F.A.Q's:

I filled out the registration form online. When will I know if my vehicle is accepted?

Please allow at least 2 business days for our team to review and process your application. Applications are processed in the order in which they are submitted.

How do I know if my vehicle is eligible for the show?

We are currently accepting vehicles (cars, trucks, motorcycles, etc) that are 1996 and older, unique electrics, and exotics. Not sure if your vehicle makes the cut? We encourage you to apply anyway! You never know!

How do I get priority parking?

Fill out the reservation form as normal. Registration applications will be processed in the order they are submitted. If your vehicle is approved, you will be sent an email with a link to pay for your registration. Follow the link and select the Priority Parking Registration option ($50 each) rather than the General
Registration option ($25 each). If you don't see a Priority Parking option, it means the spots are already sold out. Be sure to register early and keep an eye on your email inbox!

How much is my registration fee and how do I pay it?

Registration is $25/vehicle (or $50/vehicle for priority parking) until May 21 when the registration cost will increase to $30/vehicle. Be sure to register early!

If your vehicle is accepted into the show, you will receive a message to the email address listed on your vehicle application form with a payment link and instructions on how to pay your fee online. You may also pay your registration fee via check (with the vehicle owner's name listed on the memo line) mailed to the address below. If you have questions about the status of your registration payment, please email aberg@downtownboise.org or call (208)616-1052.

Downtown Boise Association
ATTN: Father's Day Car Show
816 W Bannock St, Ste 310
Boise, ID 83702

What does the registration fee cover?

Registration fees go toward reserving downtown parking spaces and lots to park vehicles on show day as well as the cost of the hand-crafted award mugs gifted to our winners. Additionally, each participating vehicle owner receives an exclusive event t-shirt and FREE breakfast and coffee at Bittercreek Alehouse on the morning of the show!

What time should I arrive on show day?

When your vehicle is accepted into the show, you will receive a confirmation email listing your load-in time window between 8am and 10am. Please plan to arrive at the check-in point on Capitol Blvd and Bannock St only within your assigned time window. Staggering the arrival times of all show vehicles helps us prevent lines of traffic and idling engines waiting to enter at the check-in point!

Where should I go on show day?

During your assigned load-in time window, please plan to enter the event footprint by driving north on Capitol Blvd toward the Capitol Building, then turning left onto W Bannock St. Members of our team in hi-visibility vests will be ready at the intersection of Capitol and Bannock to check you in and guide you to your parking space. Once your vehicle is parked for the show, feel free to head to Bittercreek Alehouse for FREE breakfast and coffee!

Where will I be parked on show day?

We park our show vehicles in the order they arrive on show day. With the exception of Priority Parking, there is no way to guarantee parking in any particular part of the footprint. We are not able to accommodate requests to park on a certain street or in a certain lot.

Can I park next to my family member or friend?

If you'd like to park next to a friend, please be sure to note that in your application and register both vehicles at the same time so that you are assigned the same load-in window. On show day, please make sure to arrive at the check-in line on Capitol Blvd at the same time so that your vehicles are next to each other. All vehicles are parked in order of arrival, so there is no guarantee that you will be parked next to your friend, but registering and arriving at the same time greatly increases your chances!

What is in my registration packet?

Each registration packet includes:

  • a printed info packet of useful day-of information
  • your vehicle display placard with info about how guests can vote for you (to be displayed in your windshield on show day)
  • your participant badge
  • a coupon for a free water on show day
  • your event t-shirt
  • swag items from local Boise businesses

How do I get my registration packet?

You have two options for getting your packet:

  1. Pick up your packet at the DBA Office before show day:

Stop by our office (816 W Bannock St, #310) between 9am-5pm on

To find our office, enter the building through the double doors to the left of the Mad Swede Patio. Take the elevator to the third floor and find our office at the end of the hall to your right.

Once your vehicle is parked for the show, pick up your packet at the registration booth on Jefferson in front of the Capitol Building Steps.

What do I do if it rains on show day?

Light rain on show day will not delay or disrupt the event. If you’re driving a convertible or T-top, please be aware of the forecast and come ready to cover your vehicle in case of rain Once the show starts, no vehicle is allowed to move or leave the show footprint until 3pm as we need to leave all roads clear for emergency vehicle access during the event.

In the case of significant rain in the forecast for the morning of the show, we may choose to delay the start of the show for up to 2 hours. In the case of more serious inclement weather that creates unsafe conditions, the show may be cancelled.

If the show is delayed or cancelled due to inclement weather, we will make an announcement on our website and socials and directly email all participants no later than 10:00 am, June 14. If the forecast is looking iffy leading up to show day, please keep an eye on your email for further instructions including a new assigned load-in time window.
