Capitol Contemporary Gallery is pleased to announce its guest artist exhibition for the month of July, showcasing the work of two nationally and internationally acclaimed Idaho artists: Aaron Hazel and Dave LaMure.

Aaron Hazel’s striking, vivid paintings explore powerful themes of race, identity, and humanity, inviting viewers to engage with complex social narratives. Meanwhile, Dave LaMure — recipient of the 2025 Idaho Governor’s Award for Excellence in the Arts — showcases his exceptional skill and artistic vision through masterfully crafted bronze sculptures.

We invite you to join us for the opening reception on First Thursday, July 3, from 5:00 to 9:00 PM. Meet the artists, enjoy a glass of wine courtesy of Vizcaya, and experience their dynamic artwork.

This event is free and open to the public, and the exhibition will be on display through July 31.
