Join us on First Thursday, Dec. 3 (7pm) for a special virtual concert film in celebration of Belinda Bowler’s new album “The Keeper.” The film will be broadcast on our Facebook and Twitter pages – no special link or access code required!

After releasing the album earlier this year, Belinda Bowler had planned to perform songs from “The Keeper” in front of a live audience at The Record Exchange. We were shortly into the planning phase when the pandemic hit, and like everyone else in the music world, we pivoted. In lieu of a traditional album release party, a private performance by Bowler at The Record Exchange in front of a small, socially-distanced audience of (masked) friends was filmed and recorded.

Included in the concert film alongside her performance at The Record Exchange will be excerpts from Bowler’s 2015 live show at El Korah Shrine for the release of her “Trumpet Vine” CD.

“The Keeper” and “Trumpet Vine” are available for purchase at The Record Exchange.

“The Keeper” is a collection of 15 songs for kids. The songs include old folks songs, original compositions and covers that stretch the boundaries of kids’ music while remaining kid- and adult-friendly. Learn about the life cycle of a butterfly, adaptation, the galaxy and more.

“The Keeper” was recorded and produced by Rich Brotherton in Austin at Ace Recording Studios. Bowler plays guitar and sings, enriched by Brotherton's masterful instrumentation and harmonies. There is even a tuba!
