UPDATE regarding The Show on the Roof
Dear BCT Family and Friends,
In keeping with our earlier statements about the priority of the health of our artists, patrons, staff and volunteers, it has become clear that additional changes to our spring schedule must be made here at BCT. As such, we have come to the inevitable conclusion that all spring activities will be postponed as we continue to monitor the situation.
First and foremost in this conversation is our last MainStage production of the season, The Show on the Roof. We are postponing it until next season. The important part in this message is that this show will go on; it truly must go on. Such a vital piece of Boise’s history, and the way that Tom Ford and Alex Syiek have handled it in this musical, deserves to be seen by this community and we are working hard to make sure that we can bring it to you.
While we are working on a plan to bring this fantastic and important show to the BCT stage next season, we do need to address the fact that many of you have already purchased tickets to see The Show on the Roof. This is a very difficult and trying time for everyone, and the staff at BCT is working hard to ensure that we can continue to keep the lights lit and the stories told after this has passed. We have three options for those of you who already hold tickets:
1. If you have the means, it would mean so much to us if you would consider donating your tickets back to BCT as we commit to producing a full 20|21 season of contemporary theater here in Boise.
2. You can hold on to your tickets and use them to secure seats for The Show on the Roof when we produce it next season. More details on this option will be forthcoming when our season ticket sales begin. If you already have tickets and prefer not to donate them at this time, hold tight. We will get back to you.
3. We will, of course, honor any requests for refunded tickets, or happily send you a gift card to use for a future BCT performance.
We support and understand any decision you make with regard to The Show on the Roof. You are our friends and our family, and we stand beside you just as you have done for us.
