Step beyond the camera and discover photography's creative roots.

In this hands-on workshop, you'll explore alternative photographic processes that blend art, science, and experimentation. Using light-sensitive materials and simple techniques, you'll create one-of-a-kind photographic artworks while learning about some of photography's earliest and most imaginative methods.

Depending on the evening's focus, participants may create cyanotypes, photograms, lumen prints, or other experimental images using natural objects, found materials, and light. No photography experience is required—just curiosity and a willingness to explore.

This workshop is perfect for photographers, artists, and creative minds looking to try something different and experience photography in a completely new way.

You'll leave with:

Completed alternative process prints

An introduction to historical and contemporary alternative photography techniques

A deeper appreciation for the creative possibilities of light and image-making

Inspiration for future photographic and mixed-media projects

All materials are provided.

A creative evening of discovery, experimentation, and making images by hand.
