Internship runs March 2 - April 10, 2026
Downtown Boise Association (DBA) seeks an Event Coordinator Intern who has an interest in learning more about facilitating community events and placemaking within a non-profit structure. This position will work closely with the Community Engagement Manager to refine event logistics and engage community members through fun, free public events and activations. You’ll collaborate with a team of five staff members who are setting the course for the future of downtown.
Selected candidate(s) will assist with early event planning and development for The Father’s Day Car Show and Alive After 5, on-site coordination of activations like First Thursday and Spring Retail Week, and media collection for partner events like Treefort Music Fest. Candidates will also develop and execute a placemaking project during the session with the guidance and assistance of DBA staff. Most internship hours are held during weekdays, but events occasionally fall on weekends and evenings.
Candidates who have an interest in community engagement and event planning, who may not have prior experience, are encouraged to apply.
