The COVID-19 pandemic has created tremendous health and economic difficulties. Home is not safe for everyone, and many confined at home from work and school as a result of COVID are truly at risk:
- There has been a 194% increase in calls to the WCA Crisis Center in April, 2020 compared to April, 2019.
- WCA Emergency Shelter intakes have tripled during the pandemic.
- August 2020 saw 194 protection orders filed in Ada County: the most filed in one month in the county.
To support, go online to https://weartwomenwca.afrogs.org/#/index to purchase beautiful art pieces and entertainment packages, OR commit to a pledge to help cover WCA Children’s Shelter needs:
- $20.00- Provides hygiene kits to each shelter child which includes shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrush and soap.
