“I love to feel a loaded brush moving across the canvas, leaving a clean stroke,” says Mary Butler. Her expressionistic art creates a sense of energy, color and movement—while conveying Idaho traditions and landscapes.
Art Source Gallery hosts an opening reception for Mary Butler and her work on First Thursday, November 3, 2022, from 5 to 9 pm. Meet the artist, discuss her work and enjoy music by JB Duo, wine by Indian Creek Winery, and seasonal snacks.
The child of a ranching family, Butler always wanted to be an artist and now shows her work at festivals and galleries in Idaho, Oregon and Wyoming. An award-winning plein air painter, Butler works primarily in oil.
Art Source Gallery is a collaborative of nearly 50 local artists who work in a wide range of media, including painting, ceramics, sculpture, jewelry, woodworking, and photography. The gallery is open daily 10 AM to 6 PM, at 1615 Main St in downtown Boise. Additional sales and exhibition space is located on Concourse B at the Boise Airport.
