PAY WHAT YOU WANT at the door on Wednesday, Feb. 4 & 18, 2026 - How it works: Wednesday before our play officially opens, show up for our first preview (doors open at 6 pm), and you decide what to pay at the door to get a ticket! We accept cash or cards (but cards incur fees). Some people choose to pay it forward for another patron, and some folks are thrilled to see professional-grade theater for the $10 they have on hand. You do you. Be in the first audience to see our full production- because what we really need is YOU. This season, enjoy a second PWYW NT on the last Wednesday of the run, Feb. 18!

Experience this Pulitzer-Prize winning play at Boise Contemporary Theater! Live theater requires YOU as the final ingredient- otherwise it is just rehearsal. “This is the story of friendship. Of how I got a new job. A story of love and balance and time. And the smallest of chances.” -Kenneth in "Primary Trust." This small town drama is set in a tiki bar, a bookstore, and a bank- Primary Trust, outside of Rochester, New York, but this story rings true for so many small towns across America. As director Susan Dalian explains, "It’s theatrical, it’s funny, it’s deeply moving, and it centers on a character that I think everyone will see themselves in somehow."
