Idaho Women’s Charitable Foundation (IWCF) Announces 2024 Fall Symposium Date
The theme for this year’s symposium is ‘Our Shared Environment: LEAD!’

BOISE, Idaho (March 12, 2024) - Idaho Women’s Charitable Foundation (IWCF) announces its 2024 Symposium to be held on Wednesday, October 2, at the Boise Centre on Grove. The bi-annual symposium theme is Our Shared Environment: LEAD! (Learn - Engage - Adapt - Discuss), and will bring together national experts and local community members for a one-day event to positively impact the lives of people in our community.

This year’s speakers include Dr. Jonathon Foley from Project Drawdown, an international organization that aims to help the world stop climate change—as quickly, safely, and equitably as possible, and the ReFED executive director, Dana Gunders, who will speak to data-driven solutions to fight food waste. Additionally, throughout the day, local experts will discuss the air we breathe, the water we drink and the food we eat in various breakout sessions.

"We are excited to present the 2024 IWCF Symposium, a platform designed to inspire leadership in environmental stewardship. Dr. Jonathon Foley and Dana Gunders will guide our audience through compelling discussions, encouraging them to learn, engage, adapt, and discuss ways to safeguard our shared environment,” said Teresa Broadus, co-chair of the 2024 IWCF Symposium.

Since 2005, the IWCF Symposium has brought national experts to Boise to provide educational learning about community needs and intentional opportunities for philanthropy and collaboration. Past speakers include Mariel Hemingway, Nicholas Kristof, Jessica Jackley and Paola Gianturco.
