While we may not be able to go into the theater quite yet, we are determined to keep dancing. Join us for a revolutionary season launching in November 2020 on Ballet Idaho’s new digital streaming platform.
This groundbreaking season will be crafted in close partnership with Front Runner Films and will include a series of world premieres created especially for Ballet Idaho, in depth interviews with the creators, time spent in the rehearsal studios, as well as never before seen archival footage of some of our favorite performances over the past few years.
Our most recent world premiere, Once Familiar has been choreographed by Craig Davidson and set to an original score by Ashley Wright (Civic Grace). Once Familiar was developed via screens and across thousands of miles as Davidson created from Zürich, Switzerland and dancers rehearsed in Boise, Idaho. A breathtaking abstract ballet, Once Familiar explores the theme of how after periods of absence or distance, the return to the familiar is newly charged with possibility. Once Familiar is available à la carte as a rental for $15.
