Enjoy First Thursday, August 3, with Tegwin Matenaer and enjoy her solo exhibition, “Nature E-Scapes”. In her luminous landscapes and serene still lifes, Tegwin invites viewers into her inner world. Her art provides a passage interweaving light, color, emotion, excitement and beauty into a tapestry of self. Art Source Gallery features our member and prize-winning pastel artist Tegwin Matenaer during the month of August. View her work and enter the moments with Tegwin while enjoying the music of Wayne White Guitar from 5 to 9 pm on First Thursday, August 3. Enjoy snacks with wine by Indian Creek Winery. We are proud to participate in Downtown Boise’s First Thursday festivities!Tegwin employs a deeply textured, evocative palette that displays her skill with shadows and forms. However, she directs conversation away from the technicalities of medium and technique toward a direct experience of nature and relationships. “Our world is fractured and frantic," Tegwin points out, "and I wish to provide spaces, whether abstract or realistic, in which the viewer can retreat to a place of peace, intrigue, and entertainment.”Art Source Gallery is a collaborative of nearly 50 artists working in all media, and is located at 1516 W. Grove St. in Boise’s Linen District. The gallery is open Monday-Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm, with an Annex on Concourse B open to all ticketed passengers at Boise Airport.
