The MISSION of Irreverent Warriors (IW) is to bring veterans together using humor and camaraderie to improve mental health and prevent veteran suicide.
The local IW Boise chapter will be conducting our signature Silkies Hike throughout downtown Boise on Saturday, September 2nd. This is an all-day event open to all veterans and service members. Civilians are encouraged to join us at iconic locations throughout downtown.
Since the dawn of time, hiking in boots and carrying heavy things has been an important part of military culture. A simple hike with veteran company reminds us that the camaraderie we once had in the military will never truly die. We will always be there for each other. That is why IW’s Silkies Hikes will continue to hit the streets year after year.
