Join us at the Idaho State Museum on Saturday, April 12th at 3PM for a special program celebrating the newly published book Nosotras: Latinas in Idaho, co-edited by Maria Gonzalez Cardenas and Emily Wakild. This work profiles the stories of 50 Latinas who have shaped Idaho over the last five decades, highlighting their unique contributions across generations.
Maria and Emily will moderate a meaningful discussion with three speakers featured in the book, representing three different generations of Latinas who have profoundly impacted Idaho’s social, cultural, political, and economic landscapes.
The event will include a Q&A session with the audience, followed by an opportunity to purchase a copy of Nosotras and have it signed by the editors and featured women in attendance.
Starting at 3 PM, attendees can explore resource tables from local organizations from the Latino community in Idaho. The program will begin at 3:30PM.
Tickets are free, but preregistration is required.
Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about the incredible contributions of Idaho’s Latinas and connect with the community!
