Boise possesses some truly great architecture represented by the motley assortment of buildings that have been saved from the wrecking ball! Some of these fantastic time capsules have become home to wonderful craft cocktail bars blending the history of their craft with the beautiful historic buildings these establishments have helped to preserve!
On the Cocktail and History Walking Tours - The Avery Hotel and Brasserie, we will start our tour bar-side sitting at the nearly 130 year old Brunswick Bar, the former centerpiece of Boise's historic Bouquet Bar, while enjoying a craft cocktail created with Boise's history in mind. This tour will take you throughout the Tiner Building to tell you tales of the theaters once filling the lower levels of the structure as well as stories from the Manitou Hotel once calling the upper three floors of the Tiner home. The Avery's staff will tell you the story of the building's restoration and their vision for the establishment's future! Finally, an Idahistory guide I'll walk you around Boise's historic Business Block, presenting you with the block's history and the Tiner Building's place in that larger story.
