Nearly every person has photos, papers and items that document the history of their lives. They are often irreplaceable objects that sometimes carry generations of memories with them. But preserving these objects cannot always be left up to chance! Archivists work to preserve these memories and more so stories can continue to be told.
Tune into this upcoming virtual History Happy Hour to meet two archivists working at the Idaho State Archives, Danielle Grundel (Photo Archivist) and Layce Johnson (Collections Archivist). They keep Idaho’s photographs, newspapers, maps, and more safe and ready for people to learn from now and in the future. Together with moderator Alison Espindola (Event & Rental Coordinator, Idaho State Museum), learn more about why your memories need preserving and what you can do to protect them. Participate in the audience Q&A by asking questions in the chat bar during the event or by submitting them earlier to events@ishs.idaho.gov.
Grab a drink to go (maybe a tasty Meriwether Cider, like their Blackberry Boom Cider or Pineapple Habanero), get comfortable at home, and spend some time with the Idaho State Museum during this History Happy Hour!
Make sure to register early for this complementary event; space is limited to the first 100 registrants. Click the ticket link to claim your space today:
