Journey to the world’s most elevated vineyards as we explore how altitude transforms winemaking and creates some of the planet’s most compelling bottles. Discover how winemakers harness the unique conditions found thousands of feet above sea level to craft wines of exceptional purity and intensity.
Through a guided tasting with our founder, Kat, you’ll sample wines from iconic high-altitude regions including Argentina’s Mendoza region, where the Malbec reaches heights both literal and figurative; Austria’s steep Wachau terraces where Gruner Veltliner clings to ancient stone; Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley, where thousand-year-old winemaking traditions meet modern mountain techniques; and selections; Chile’s dramatic Elqui Valley, and even the Snake River Valley in Idaho, an emerging high-elevation wine region.
You’ll discover how altitude affects everything from harvest timing to fermentation, and why many of today’s most exciting wine discoveries are happening in places where others said grapes couldn’t grow. Perfect for adventurous wine lovers seeking bottles that truly capture a sense of place.
Light cheese and charcuterie will be provided to pair with the wines.
Featured wines are offered at a 10% discount for attendees (15% for wine club members)
