Join us at our second annual Foster Care Awareness Day at the Capitol on February 6, 2020! Child welfare advocates from across the state will gather together in Boise to provide state legislators with education and first-hand experiences related to foster care in Idaho. The event is free to attend.

Event Agenda

7:00am – 9:00am

Breakfast with Legislators. Stop by the Fourth Floor Rotunda, eat breakfast with legislators and other attendees, and visit with service providers.

9:00am – 12:00pm

Presentations and Trainings. Learn tips for meeting with legislators from advocacy experts, hear stories from youth and families impacted by foster care, and receive updates about efforts to improve child welfare outcomes in Idaho.

12:00pm – 1:00pm

Lunch and Networking. Join attendees in the Legislative Dining Room for lunch. Meals are available for purchase in the dining room and brown bag lunches are welcome.

1:00pm – 5:00pm

Meetings with Legislators and Committee Attendance. Spend the afternoon visiting your state legislators and attending legislative committee meetings. Advocacy experts are available to assist with scheduling meetings.
