Acrylic Painting Workshop Series

Discover the joy of acrylic painting in this four-session workshop designed for beginners and those looking to strengthen their skills. Each class builds on the last, giving you the tools and confidence to create your own finished piece by the end of the series.

Session 1: Foundations of Acrylic Painting

Get comfortable with acrylic paints, brushes, surfaces, and mediums. Learn basic strokes, blending, layering, and practice techniques through a mini project.

Session 2: Color Mixing & Composition

Dive into color theory—mixing hues, creating tints, tones, and shades—while exploring warm vs. cool palettes. Learn essential composition skills like balance, focal points, and the rule of thirds, then apply them in a mini project.

Session 3: Techniques for Depth & Texture

Experiment with methods to create depth and dimension using layering, glazing, and perspective. Add texture with palette knives, sponges, and mediums, and complete a hands-on mini project.

Session 4: Final Project & Finishing Touches (Extended Session)

Bring it all together in a three-hour session where you’ll create a personal project from start to finish. Receive one-on-one guidance, troubleshoot challenges, and learn techniques for varnishing, framing, and presentation.
