What is Laird Family Estate? As the largest landholder and vineyard owner in Napa Valley, the Laird Family grows many of Napa’s iconic wines in their vineyards. In fact, 98% of the grapes they grow are sold to outside wineries. Better yet, they keep the top 2% for their own label, Laird Family Estate. The best winemakers will tell you that great wine is made in the vineyard and the Laird Family has been instrumental in growing the valley’s wines since the 1970’s. We find their wines consistently overdeliver on quality and value which is rare in Napa Valley. Great wines, great prices, and great people.
Who is Justin Ward? As Laird Family’s National Sales Manager, Justin Ward, has spent 17 years representing the family’s wines and telling the story of this humble, hardworking family. Knowledgeable and incredibly friendly with a passion for presenting wines from Napa Valley’s best kept secret winery, Justin adds depth and context to this fabulous line-up of wines. This is an event that you don’t want to miss!
What are the details? Justin will guide us through a tasting of five wines from distinct sub-regions throughout Napa Valley sharing the facts and most importantly, the stories, behind this authentic, family-owned winery. From refreshing whites to full-bodied reds (and yes, a Napa Cabernet Sauvignon IS in the mix) you’ll taste the diversity of Laird one sip at a time. This is the perfect opportunity to stock up on wines from this undercover winery for the holidays. Light cheese and charcuterie will be served to enhance your experience.
