Day of the Dead Fundraising Gala benefitting "A Better Way Memorial Fund"A Better Way Memorial Fund grants last wishes and resources to terminally ill people who are currently on hospice. These wishes are typically granted to folks who are low income, have no insurance payor source or, if their insurance doesn’t cover something needed to keep the patient in the place, they call home, while keeping them comfortable.
Some of the wishes and resources granted have been computers, supplies, durable medical equipment, medication, funeral services, electric bill, phone bill, rent. We also grant last wishes or “bucket list” experiences like a hot air balloon ride, evening night out with spouse, family photo shoot, flying in an airplane, ride a horse, family night at the zoo, airline ticket to see family or fly a family member in for a visit.
We want these resources and experiences to be positive, uplifting and memorable to the patient and families. We are on a mission to positively affect the lives we touch at the end of someone's life!
