About the Event
Doors open for guests at 6:30pm. We will begin the evening at 7:00pm with a short introduction before showing the documentary film, The Cure for Hate. Following the film, we will host a panel discussion featuring several local community leaders, and Tony McAleer and Peter Hutchison of Cure for Hate. There will be some opportunity for questions.

About the Film
The Cure For Hate traces former neo-Nazi and Holocaust denier Tony McAleer’s journey of atonement to bear witness to the horrors of Auschwitz and examine the throughline to modern day violent extremism. The film serves as Holocaust education at its most urgent and personal, and a powerful argument for radical compassion in the face of division.

About the Impact Campaign
Thanks to a grant from The Center for Prevention Programs & Partnerships Targeted Violence and Terrorism Prevention Program, we aim to use the film and the lived experiences of its protagonist to combat messages of hate and division, engaging vulnerable youth to enhance their resilience to radicalization.
