Access to the trails in the Sawtooth Mountains is something that should not be taken for granted. Organizations like the Sawtooth Society, in collaboration with groups of volunteers like Boise Young Professionals (BYP), help keep these trails accessible to the public. It is with great excitement that BYP and the Sawtooth Society team up again on June 23-26th, 2022 for trail rehabilitation in the Sawtooth Mountains! Volunteers will get the opportunity to hike in the Sawtooth Mountains while utilizing cross-cut saws and other handheld tools to clear the trails.
The itinerary is as follows:
Thursday, June 23: Leave after work and carpool/caravan to the campground (TBD - 2021 was Iron Creek) outside of Stanley, ID. If you are unable to go up on Thursday, you can still sign up and join Friday after work and participate in the trail work on Saturday!
Friday, June 24: Trail conservation work and then spend the late afternoon at Redfish Lake
Saturday, June 25: Trail conservation work and then spend the late afternoon at Stanley Lake
Sunday, June 26: Breakfast at camp and head back to Boise!
Cost for BYP Members is $35 and cost for non-members is $45! This is always a super fun BYP event in the great outdoors of Idaho, but space is limited. This year we have a limit of 20 people, so be sure to reserve a spot before it's full!
