In May, Art Source Gallery will feature new works from Amy McRae, a Boise-based photographer and gallery member. Inspired by newly learned techniques in holographic and agamographic art. McRae creates optical illusions that let the viewer see images that change with their viewing angle and perspective.

“Illusions trick us into perceiving something differently than it actually exists,” said McRae. “Illusions in artwork create a sense of depth, movement or hidden images. My hope for this show is that it will make you take a step back and say “what did I just see”. My goal for the show is for the viewer to just have fun”

McRae is a Boise-based photographer and long-time member of Art Source Gallery. More information is available at www.AmyMcRaePhotography.com

Join us for First Thursday on May 1st, from 5-9 PM, to meet the artist and learn about her process and inspirations. The show will be on display throughout May—don’t miss it!
