During the month of July, Art Source Gallery is hosting our 20th annual juried art show. This regional Show invited 2D and 3D artists from the Pacific Northwest to enter up to three works to be juried by accomplished artist, Noreen Shanafelt. All artwork had to be original, completed in the last three years, and available for purchase. This year 47 artists from across Washington, Idaho and Oregon entered 129 works of art. Noreen selected 34 artworks to be exhibited in the show and selected several for cash and special awards. Her choices have created a vibrant show of paintings, photographs, mixed media, fiber, ceramics and sculpture. Prizes will be awarded at the opening reception Friday, July 5th, 1516 W Grove Street, 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm. The public will be invited to vote on the People’s Choice Award. The art will be on display and for sale throughout July.

Noreen’s has two favorite mediums, batik and watercolor. Batik is an ancient Indonesian art form using hot wax, where the final image is only revealed when the wax is removed. Noreen is also well known in the Boise area for her wonderful pet portraits in watercolor. Her work has been exhibited in several galleries in the Boise area and is currently on display at Gallery 55 in McCall.
