BOISE, Idaho - March 14th, 2026 - A harrowing true story of possession transforms into a
cinematic thriller as the new feature film "2:59" makes its worldwide debut. Written and directed
by a Kuna filmmaker Kody Newton, this highly anticipated premiere will take place on Saturday,
March 14, at 6:30 PM at the Historic Egyptian Theatre in Downtown Boise.
The narrative of "2:59" stems from unsettling 2012 real-life events experienced by the film's
Director of Photography, Ryann Race. The concept for the film crystallized during a drive home
from a film shoot when Race recounted these events to Newton, with the script being penned
shortly after.
Bringing this terrifying vision to life is a cast rich with genre legacy. The film features alumni from
the "Friday the 13th" franchise, including Terry Kiser (Weekend at Bernie's), Darcy DeMoss, and John LeMay. Joining
them are Kevin Caliber (Future Man), and Richie Ramone of The Ramones. The story centers
on three protagonists played by Sanae Loutsis (The Death of Snow White) with Kuna actor
Tiego Newton (Metal Kingdom), and Boise actor Holland Stull (Devil's Knight). Together, they
must confront and banish a demonic presence in their apartment building.
