The WCA is committed to hosting the 11th annual SueB memorial 5K/ 10K Race VIRTUALLY on Sunday, October 4, 2020.
Our virtual event will still include all the usual festivities such as participating in our virtual warm up, wearing a bib number and receiving a T-shirt and finisher certificate to share with your friends and family digitally.
We are hopeful that an IN-PERSON option will also be available, and we continue to monitor responses to COVID-19 in our community.
We are excited about the opportunities a virtual race opens up and hope you will share in our excitement!
Our goal is to have a meaningful, safe and healthy event.

If you are comfortable coming in-person please join us!
In-Person participants will arrive at Julia Davis Park to take part in the event on October 4, 2o2o from 1pm - 3pm. *

If you are more comfortable with a virtual race - you can run the 5K or 10K from anywhere at any time between September 28 - October 4, 2020.

Who was SueB?
Susan "SueB" Newby was in an abusive marriage. In 2008, she died in a mysterious horse riding accident that many believe was a result of domestic violence.
Help us honor her memory and promote awareness of domestic abuse by joining us either in person or virtually on October 4, 2020.

*During this new phase of events we want to be able to offer you not only a long-standing in-person tradition in the Treasure Valley but an event where everyone feels comfortable and safe. We will be following and adhering to the guidelines issued by the State of Idaho, City of Boise and  the CDC . Click here to learn more about safety at large gatherings. This situation is fluid and we must also ensure the safety and health of our participants.
Thank you for your understanding as we navigate events in this new time.
